Jamie is an experienced pharma industry market insights and strategy consultant. He has supported many of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies, successfully working with global, regional and national stakeholders to generate valuable insight and facilitate decision making in support of brands and portfolios.

Jamie’s broader consulting expertise spans portfolio/brand strategy and tactical planning, late life cycle management, and competitive strategy. He has developed expertise across a wide range of therapy areas, most recently working in immunology, oncology, rare hematology and epilepsy. Jamie has developed a particular expertise in the area of biosimilars, leading numerous engagements supporting both innovator clients in optimal planning for potential biosimilar competition and biosimilar players to effectively anticipate competitive activities and to build share.

Jamie studied for a PhD in Neuroendocrinology from Imperial College London, during which he played a key role in the discovery and lead optimization for a novel therapeutic candidate for diabetes and obesity which is currently in clinical trials. Jamie also holds a BSc in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Durham University.

Before joining Align Strategy, Jamie lived and worked in Sydney, Australia, spending his spare time learning to surf. On returning to London’s distinct lack of waves, Jamie took up indoor rock climbing and is a regular at London’s many bouldering gyms.
